Chapter: 26. Everything Old is Now Again
Characters: Anne Onymous, Jason Grey
And here’s the second of our cameos for our Patreon contributors! Just your standard water nymph enjoying something shiny she found.
I will mark who our secret friend in this comic on the bottom right of the page once his identity has been revealed. Though some of you may have already guessed who he is.
The sooner they get clear of “Freya”, the sooner they can get to work on getting her friends back.
And also Miranda.
Nice to see this up.
They look like they don’t mind being a water nymph. Some people I’ve read describe water nymphs as made of pure water, but this design works too.
Again, makes me want to see a comic where Anne fixing everything creates a second universe were everyone being reincarnations of mythical figures is the NORMAL. Maybe the Anne in THAT universe will retroactive be the reincarnation of Eris, and from her reality’s perspective just finished ‘restoring’ the world to its mythical state.
So is this guy one of her friends as reincarnation? Or a survivor of the pantheon’s end like Loki and Hermes. Hermes ironically made a point in the beginning that Loki engineered the doom of his own family, while Hermes it seems had to watch his family infect themselves with a terminal disease one by one.
The line “You don’t recognize me, of course”, does seem to imply that this person is someone whom Anne would have recognized if not for the transformation . . .
“Normally, you’ve have recognized me from such films as ‘The President’s Neck is Missing’ and ‘Firecrackers: The Silent Killer’.”
“You may remember me from such educational films as ‘Lead Paint, Delicious but Deadly’ and ‘Here Comes the Metric System!'”
So it’s Troy McClure?
You may remember me from such self help videos as “Smoke Yourself Thin” and “Get Confident, Stupid!”
The speech style sounds almost like Milo, but I doubt that… I still think Katie or Wolfie. Maybe Ming? He does sound a bit professorial…
The design most looks like Wolfie, based on the goatee, the hair color and the fact that he’s pretty buff (Wolfie I believe was always the strongest girl). However, the manner of speaking isn’t really right for Wolfie, unless of course it’s one of the Norse/Greek Gods doing the speaking, and he was one who somehow encountered Anne earlier in the comic…
— Water Was I Saying… —
Okay ladies and gents,
Hit me with that beat.
A rhythm to make sense,
Of the tapping of feet.
I’m here to break it down,
To pull this scene apart.
Who’s the goateed clown?
It’s a good place to start.
I can analyse the weird,
I can wonder why a cape,
I can ponder his beard,
While he helps Anne escape.
Yet in truth I’ve no clue,
To whom this may be.
For my vision’s askew,
By the view I now see.
A bespeckled water sprite,
A naked nymph now at play,
She’s most certainly a sight,
That’s lead minds astray.
🙂
People becoming legendary beings. Some get the Norse pantheon. Some become Greek gods. But only one is chosen to become OLD GREGG. (Lacking a shoe, she will drink Baileys out of that helmet.)
Is this a crossover with a certain Valkyrie? http://montrose.is/sgvy/
Yuuki always struck me as an Uncertain Valkyrie, actually.
Naiads wear spectacles? And have blue extremities? Don’t recall this from Bulfinch…
By Jove, she’s frostbitten! That water must be near-freezing!
I wonder if it’s who Robin’s little brother became the reincarnation of, and the two decided to willing exist as a single being with traits of both.
she’s beautiful^^
And I guess even otherworldly creatures have poor eyesight
