Chapter: 26. Everything Old is Now Again
Characters: Anne Onymous, Hermes
Next story comic will be on January 7th, but we will have a Holiday filler before then.
Well…Anne can scratch “punching a god” off her bucket list.
She already could. Loki, earlier in this same story.
Checking “Did you just punch out Cthulhu” off the trope list…

That’s the second time in this fight she’s used her fist when her opponent expected a spell. How many heroes can say they punched out Loki -and- Hermes?
Expecto my fist? Is that a Titan Maximum reference?
I don’t think he expecto’d that.
Faceus Punchum!
Ahhh, the Robin Manoeuvre.
“Well, it’s worked before…”
If Loki isn’t taking something seriously, it’s because he’s playing the fool because no one has realized his real move.
I’m wondering if Loki is as dedicated to this whole endeavour as Hermes thinks he is. After all, who’s the being fighting on Anne’s side in this? Someone with no personal history with Hermes, and a grudge against Loki. So, not predisposed to listen to Hermes when he tries to explain, and inclined to try and stop *whatever* Loki is supposedly doing. And Loki is, as we should always remember, a *trickster* god – what if his whole participation in this has been a trick on Hermes in order to stop him? Setting up in Tandy where the Wotch is – both ensuring that there will be at least one person around who won’t be affected by the chaos magic, and that there’s a ready receptacle for Freya in Jasonja. And who ensured this whole thing wouldn’t hurt his credit rating ‘if’ they fail? Loki, in getting a couple of patsies to rent the nightclub.
Yeah, I think I convinced myself. Loki’s playing Hermes, setting him up to fail. Must not have been able to get anyone to take him seriously when he warned them. Either that, or decided this would be more fun.
Expecto roundhousium!
This spell is a commonly used method among non-magical people to take down an opponent. It’s use by a magical person in a magical altercation can be both unexpected and useful. However, it rarely defeats the opponent completely and will often need to be followed by a ka-girling or other spell to bind one’s opponent away from their magic, temporarily or otherwise.
Well, Hermes has just lost his staff/wand and his hat. Does he still have an anchor to alow him to be in this storm?
I think Anne ate the storm.
i think we missed something. did she just summon hermis to her and hit him or did she disarm him and punch a god.
Ruby Roundhouse?
I am reminded of the epic outcome between the wizard brothers in the movie “Wizards”.
Avatar: Oh yeah… one more thing: I’m glad you changed your last name, you son of a b*tch!
Anne has the best Punchlines.
Ba’al: “You dare mock me?!”
Col. O’Neill: “Ba’al, you know me! Of *COURSE* I dare mock you!”
(or something like that)
Punch, meet sucker~
If she hit that nerve cluster, he’s going down like a sack of potatoes.
I’ll just assume she used magic to close the distance into punching range. >_>
