Oldest references to Jinn I’m able to find in a quick Wikipedia skim are 7th century.
Doesn’t mean there were no Jinn/djinn/genies earlier, or that any of them are necessary 1400 years old (assuming they are born, grow, procreate and die normally, on whatever sort of time scale).
The concept of wish-granting genies enters western culture with the first English translation of “1001 Nights”, a collection of Arabian folklore, in 1706. The origins of the fables there-in get really murky and hard to pin down earlier than that.
