Jason seems to know his Greek myths. Though they are fun subject and he’s right to know all about them.

So Miss West has taken on the role of Chiron? Is this because she was already a centaur when the changes were made, or was she changed into a centaur since she was being a hero mentor?

I doubt it, since mythology in comics are often misused or changed to suit the whims of the writer. Loki wasn’t Thor’s brother in mythology, for example.
Thor in the myths was also a redhead, not blond.

Huh… He’s even using the Greek name for Heracles instead of Hercules which is more recognisable. Alcaeus would have also been acceptable.
Also: never be a physically attractive person around one of the Greek gods. It doesn’t end well.

It’s true though… I’ve read multiple stories from Greek mythology of the gods punishing people just for “refusing their love”. Many of them actually ending up in magical transformations…
The Greeks actually rather liked their transformations. lol
And if you DONT refuse their love, some other god will start becoming jealous of you. Or was it just Hera who was jealous all the time?
Because Greek mythology is the BEST mythology!
I just hope it is something cool like a heavily modified mythos virus, or the gods finding a way to make revisions to reality since there aren’t many other gods left to tell them no, rather than say everyone just being under a magically induced delusional or something. There’s no reason to go halfway in this web comic.
BUT: after surrendering his immortality, wasn’t Cheiron immediately translated into the heavens – just as Heracles was translated to Olympus? 7@=e
I love Robin and Anne’s reaction in the second to last panel. Jason is indeed well-read.
For those who paid for the access for the comics a week early will this be in February the 1st or near the end of January?
This will begin during the off week. So January 30, Patreons will get the new comic whereas it’ll be posted on the site on February 6.

Like, seriously, there was this one time some truck driver from another country stopped by at my old school, speaking no german at all, and asks for directions. After five or so minutes, which everyone wasted playing guessing games instead of helping, I put down my work for a moment, walked over to the poor guy and told him what he wanted to know.
The way everyone looked at me I thought they woudn´t expect an 8-year-old to speak fluent english…
I like it when people underestimate me, so I’m cool with it. 😉
Yeah, it can be nice from time to time.
But on the other hand, I don´t like when people think I can´t do stuff on my own. That´s why I never tell anyone what I´m going to do, and instead just tell them when it´s done. That way, they can´t interrupt or, as in most cases I´ve witnessed, ruin everything.

I’ve got some suggestions from Robert, the new artist, about how to incorporate the Patreon more. Polls and votes on what bonuses will show up, characters people want drawn and such. I think it’s a good idea and will all help make the readers feel more included in the decisions being made. More details on the Patreon page itself.
