I redid my computer and I’ve been having just a lot of minor issues getting all the things back on it once again, so I’m still working on it, but I figured i’d post what i have!

I’m really enjoying how the story is turning out so far! Anne looks like she’s getting ready to enjoy herself, while Loki apparently didn’t account for any others being magically-attuned to interfere with his plans. Also, I really like how the art is drawn for this page… even with some of the coloring not in place yet, I love the look on Anne’s face in Panel One, and appreciate Freya’s/Sonja’s demeanor in Panel Six! 🙂
Speaking of coloring… could we get an update towards the Dec. 11 “The Path is Clear” page? I realize there is a lot of stuff going on (PC cleanup, catching up on tasks)… but it’s been lacking color for several weeks now. I hope this doesn’t sound demanding, but I’d really like to see how that page turns out fully colored… (please?)
Okay, why would the greek goddess of love or beauty obey Loki’s orders? She’s not some lackey to be ordered around! And given how much she’s had to deal with Loki’s BS, you think our other goddess would realize Loki is trying to pull a bait and switch, and she’d never serve Loki anyway!
… are we sure she wants to “have vengeance” on Anne and not on Loki?
She explicitly thought Anne was Loki, so her being Loki’s minion makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
I think thats the point.
If she thinks Anne is Loki she does not think Loki is Loki.
Because sphinxes can do that apparently?
Hang on, girls. Anne will bring you back shortly.
Trying to make her friends kill her. Now that is low even for you, trickster.
Loki got Baldur and Hod killed for essentially no reason. Sometimes Loki ties his junk to the beard of a goat to make Skadi laugh. Sometimes he tricks a blind god into murdering the most beloved god.
I prefer the “Gesta Danorum” version, and Loki wasn’t responisble for the demise of either in that one.
the second string can do wonders.
The fact that Anne was able to call Loki out for being the “cliché bad guy”, and the fact that Loki actually broke out of the manipulative prose to make a “cliché bad guy” statement, kind of undermines a lot of the plot to me. Once again there is no real moral dilemma being presented to any of the characters and white is white and black is black. Lame.
That said, I like the drawings of Sonja/Freya in the last two panels.
I was liking where this story arc was going a lot better two pages ago. There were a whole bunch of things more interesting than this that it looked like could have been going on, like planning around his belief that she has no skills other than her magic to fall back on, or winning the people to his side—he could’ve done both by challenging her in front of innocent bystanders trying to find that Wotch who caused all their problems, so she couldn’t use magic without revealing herself. Or he could have Or he could at least have given a speech that made her say she did make a mistake, but here’s what she learned from it.
Hanging a lampshade on how cliché a speech is doesn’t make it a good speech.
Huh, some bad editing on my part there. “Or he could have” got cut off. But there are a lot of things he could’ve done other than brainwash her friends to fight her and try to blame her for being the target of someone else for reasons she didn’t cause and can’t change.
My suspension of disbelief breaks here, because I can’t see the reincarnation of these gods obeying Loki like they were his lackeys.
Knowing Loki, they were deceived into doing what he wanted.
They have demonstrated the ability to control their victims before. Remember when he made Freya-Jason say “The hunt is on” even though that’s a terrible line?
Which really doesn’t make much sense at all.
And for some reason, my negative comment posted here and my positive one didn’t. But I liked the panels with the Scoobies.
Don’t ya just hate it when the chaotic forces you tried to bring together falls apart?
Lycos beat up lady Britannia? …… Unforgivable! Sitting on her to further his point? Outrageous! (Sighs- I’m sure she’s just pretending)
Rue Britannia! Britannia rules the waves!
Ooh! Shock! Not Britannia’s shield!
I’m quite relieved.
The comic looks amazing in colour with shadows and shades. I love the glittery effect of the last panel. It’s like she hit the fourth wall. Excellent.
Its much better fully colored
Though I wish the smoosh-patches on Sonja in the last panel (as though she was pressed against glass) were kept.
I agree. That’s why I just uploaded a version with it added back in, plus shading and glow effects.
Holy crap! That shading is awesome!
And the glow effects too of course! I meant both.
question — i heard there is a wotch fan art gallery somewhere , can i be directed by someone ?
Why hasn’t the Patreon been updated in months? I think that’s the reason you guys have been getting less money :/
And I thought Jason Grey was a troll…good game, Samantha Wolf. Good game.
