I just wonder why so much time was spent on the game to begin with. How long is the normal comic story going to be if it spent this time much time on a ‘cold opening’?
Keep in mind that they had some major troubles with life and whatnot. If they keep it going at a fairly steady pace, the comic won’t take that long to finish. And then we can return to our regularly scheduled programming.
The last “arc” concluded nearly 2 years ago and was 14 comics long. We’re 7 comics into this arc and nothing has happened. The last 5 comics have been spent on this stupid video game and all that happened is Anne cast a spell. 5 weeks worth of comics and all that’s happened is we know the group is playing video games.
Also, they did this to open the last story arc too. Is the Wotch so bankrupt for ideas that it’s now ripping off earlier installments?
I don’t apologize for the length of this little “intro” up into the thick of the comic. There will be a lot of comics in this arc, and reading through it page by page later on will be a lot more fun to have this level of detail included. If we could post 2 or 3 days a week, we would, and yes, that would help story progression, but we can’t. The story may progress slowly, but each page is going to look great.
And you have no clue how thankful the people who have patience are.

I don’t think kappakappa’s reply was that bad he was just given his opinion as feed back and as such you did not need to reply in such a passive aggressive manner.
! for one kind of agrees with some of his statement mainly the lack of communication done by the people in charge I know the dev did not need to do it ( and did not do it either ) but it would have been greatly appreciated even if it was once every month or two just to show some kind of sign of life to the loyal readers.
Anyhow I’m still happy to see this web comic to restart and will be diligently following it.
Except that kappakappa’s comment was more aggressive than passive in its application. We get that the comic is a little slow right now, but we all still support it. Just like with fanfiction: Life. Happens. Sometimes, the devs just need support to get back on a roll again and get everything flowing so something more can happen with the plot. It’s better to give that than overly passive-aggressive ‘opinions’ that don’t do much but rile everyone up.
We’re here to support the comic. I get that everyone has an opinion, but we still want to keep the community… not hostile.
Just… climb, it’s not like they’re going to complain.
Also, I love the art on these two pages.
