Preview Sketch 1
This is the first preview for the new artist, Robert. There’s already a full, silly, filler comic up for Patreon contributors, and that comic will show up here on the main page on 11/21, which will be The Wotch’s 15th anniversary.
Here we see some sketches of James, Irene and Ming!
There will be more sketches posted on the Patreon site as well.
ADDENDUM! You can find more of Robert’s work at his deviantArt page — http://shieltar.deviantart.com
You can also find other work and special bonus’ at the Patreon page for his own web comic “Birth of Equestria” at https://www.patreon.com/user/posts?u=2598853
Outstanding!
No complaints here.
If the colors look as good as the pencils, I`ll be overjoyed.
I’ll still be coloring, so of course those will be great.
I’ve been fortunate enough to know Robert through his own webcomic published on deviantArt — Birth of Equestria. Great art and i love his story there.
And, yes… He and I are both Bronies. Got a problem with it?
I don’t. But I got wailed on once for being a Brony on the Wotch forum.
Bronies = Illuminati
Confirmed…. ROFL.
Yep, we run everything 🙂

Quite happy to give my support. Like the new art style already 🙂
I’m so glad you found an artist who better represents your work. I’ll certainly miss Ian’s short time on the comic a few years back, and… (sigh) I’m sorry, Andy. You’re a good artist, but your style did not fit this comic at all.
After seeing these sketches, I can’t wait to see what Robert brings to the table.
I personally liked Andy’s style more than Ian’s, but I can definitely get behind this new one as being a better fit than either of those.
No offense to either Andy or Ian. You’re both far more talented than I’ll ever be!
Cool!

I will say this style is more like the older style and has that fun feeling to it, even if Andy’s was interesting and would be nice to see more of at times.
While I’m a fan of mental change and always have been. I do hope the Masquerade trope in the Wotch doesn’t last forever. While it helps keeps the characters’ reactions natural and lets us feel the excitement with them, in this day and age, ‘ignorance is bliss for the greater good’ carries with it some unfortunate implications. I prefer Dream of Jeanie Bottle’s approach ironically, where the author admits that magic isn’t actively hidden, most people are simply busy with their own lives to really bother with it.

Super cute!
If it wasn´t for the new artist, I might have never found this comic. Here´s the picture he made which let me find this comic: http://shieltar.deviantart.com/art/Grace-visits-america-642286699
