Now I want to see more than ever a Bad End scenario that shows the aftermath of the three of them ending up trees in his garden.
I know he’s nuts, but I wonder if changing their expressions ever occurred to him.
Of course not, that’s like a photographer using photoshop to edit a smile on someone’s face during an organic moment of surprises. Sure it might be more aesthetically pleasuring, but true art imitates– nay, CAPTURES life.
If I was going to have three girls as tree in my magical overlord garden, I’d want them sending out positive vibes, not negative vibes.

It’s probably only me… actually I’m pretty sure it’s only me, but I think the ludicrously oversized boobs ruin the picture, which I would otherwise like. Again, probably just me, but when bust sizes surpass a certain point (without the necessary increase of other body fat) the individual looks horribly misproportioned and winds up looking far less attractive than they would have been if they’d had a more natural/realistic proportion.
I obviously don’t expect the artists or writers to change this, as it’s kind of always been there in this comic. But I am also entitled to my opinion, which is I’d have loved this picture had the Tree-Girls had more realistic and less oversexualized proportions. (I don’t like sexualization of inanimate TFs. Kind of ruins them for me…)
But nice work otherwise. I like the expressions.

Why should you be able to impose your personal preferences on others?

Remember each of us has an opinion of our likes or dislikes. And as such he/she is able to provide such whether we like it or not. It’s the will of the artist who makes the final decision. As they say in the art world, ‘Everybody’s a critic’ up until they’re tasked to produce better.
Hey, I never did say I expect the artists or authors to change. In fact I specifically stated that I know they won’t. However I am entitled to my opinion, which is that I enjoy the artist’s work as a whole, I just do not personally enjoy overt sexualization of TFs (even TG, which can be kept fairly tame despite its inherently sexual nature).
Also think of the health of benefits they’d enjoy with smaller bust sizes? The current ones have got to be killing their backs (well, not now, but when in human form)! I’m also looking out of the characters, yo! lol

This is true. But I wasn’t around at the time to comment on the originals. I didn’t approve of the oversized busts then either, though at least in that case the cartoonish style (which included shorter, stubbier proportions) kind of made it less overt.
This isn’t going to make me stop watching the comic or anything. I’m just announcing myself as the one guy who swims upriver. lol
I agree—The Boob size on Anne should be the limit for “Big boobs”. Even those are too big for Annie herself, but would look better and more believable on the other two. Bigger IS better —but only to a point.
It’s a picture of 3 girls, two who used to be guys, turned into trees by an evil elf wizard. “believable” long since went out the window.
I tough the left one was Robin as the original art did have Robin on the left and Anne in the middle.
It’s not just you, dude. I also agree that their breasts are too large, and not just for reasons of personal taste. One of Anne’s primary traits was her entirely normal bust size, since it contrasted with Sonja’s largish bust, and Robyn’s especially large bust. But even Robyn’s boobs were barely as large as Anne’s have been depicted here.
I mean, at least their *relative* bust sizes have been faithfully depicted, though that does lead to Robyn’s chest sporting completely insane stripper-boobs. Her breasts are each larger than her head for goodness sake!
At least the mage guy, who’s name I’ve long since forgotten, looks awesome!
Sykos. I remember because he is one of (if not my top) favorite characters.

I wonder how deep their roots are that they don’t fall over. And I wonder if they can speak to each other after their roots intermingle. I wonder if in a few hundred years they’ll grow into a single humanoid tree, the tree of chaos, with her sprouts spreading through out the world, bringing balance to the world.
I wonder what kind of fruit they would bear, if any…
Oh my! I’ve always loved this chapter cover, so seeing an awesome remake is such a treat!
Thank you for the comparison. I got Sonja right because of the waviness of her “hair,” but I couldn’t tell which was supposed to be Robyn and Anne. With Anne growing her hair out and the more realistic art style, there is a lot less with which to distinguish them.
This is Sykes, right? We never did get to find out the story of uh, what was her name… Amelie or something like that… the teacher he turned into a blond bubbly bimbo but who didn’t MIND being turned into one and embraced their role with him. I just woke up, brain isn’t braining right right now.
She was blond and discovered she enjoyed being bubbly, but turned out not to be a bimbo at all, as far as I recall.
I am beginning to wonder if this is the actual end of the comic. It has been a while.

As I posted a little while ago that despite not having to say anything on there part it would be a nice gesture from the developers of this comic to at least give some signs that things a coming down the horizon.
I know I for one would appreciate that greatly.
To clarify myself a bit as I don’t want to sound rude but take a look at sailorson.org ( I believe is the address otherwise google it its not hard to find ) CD Rudd and the people he works with are a great example of what I’m implying by “giving signs of life”.
Now I will admit going from the way things are now at the wotch to what CD Rudd is doing with sailorson.org is a bit of an extreme anything going in that direction would be a greatly appreciated plus.
Yeah, CD’s always been very good about communicating what’s going on. I think most people are willing to be patient, but they also like to kept up to date about what is going on.
In any case, I hope the Wotch manages to at least get a proper finale/ending. It deserves that much.
Somehow I sadly doubt it.
As do I this is a great web comic and I enjoyed it in its prime but sadly nothing last forever.

Just want to say I love the ‘90210’ look given to Anne, Robin and Jason (especially Anne ) and hope the story continues along soon.

Hey, glad you guys are sort of back. I’m also glad I didn’t get rid of the bookmark for The Wotch and check it once a blue moon.
Don’t suppose any of you know if Cheer is still going? With the new layout and all, you seem to have lost all your “check out all these other webcomics we’re friends with” links. Affliate, is that the word I’m looking for? Anyways even if you only update once in a blue moon and are currently injured, glad you’re back. Keep on keeping on!
The series isn’t done yet. Our current artist, Andy Santos, had injured his wrist and is currently recovering. I am lining up some guest artists, but that takes time.
Thank you for the update, that really is all that we needed to make the wait easier to bare. I hope Andy’s recovery is going well and please keep us updated.

You realize all this bitching and complaining is the reason why Robin and crew get depressed and dont feel like updating right? Hell if I had a comic I wouldn’t want to update for ungrateful people either.
How’s the wrist today, Andy? You know when I got hurt My Doc told me to Ice it for the swelling by using a bag of frozen Veggies. It conforms to the wrist/ankle, and when you’re through, Heat ’em and Eat ’em.
How goes the recovery and healing? Well I hope.

interesting question. so far all the centaur i have seen. at least in my recollection are female. any male ones. or couples.
